Drill Meet

On Saturday, December 8th, Monterey High School hosted it's very own drill meet. Many high schools from around the Monterey County came to participate in this great event: Marina, Seaside, Everett Alvarez, and Soledad.

The drill meet consisted of eight different event: Inspection, Varsity Color Guard, Junior Varsity Color Guard, Platoon Unarmed Basic, Platoon Armed Basic, Platoon Unarmed Exhibition, Platoon Armed Exhibition, and Physical Fitness Competition.

Special recognition to Cadet Culligan for receiving 1st place for female physical fitness

14 cadets represented Monterey HIgh School during the drill portion of the drill meet. These cadets were C/LT Worley, C/LT Smith, C/LT Martinez, C/LTJG Wigington, C/LTJG Takagaki, C/SCPO Ivy, C/SCPO Sumpter, C/CPO Paghasian, C/PO1 Newcomer, C/PO1 Valdez, Aram, C/PO1 Valdez, Isai, C/PO2 Gamble, C/PO2 Webb, and C/PO2 Barbour. The drill team participated in Basic Armed and Unarmed Drill and received 2nd place in both categories.
