​Monterey high school’s naval junior reserve officer training corp’s academic team’s goal is to help cadets learn more information of navy history, nautical sciences and more. Our team practice academic debates using textbooks in class. Our debates involve timed questions which teams try to find answers quickly through textbooks, this is important to learn more create good study habits. Our current academic team consists of around 25 cadets. Our academic team is important to create important ways to study and important life skills such as exploring new ways to think, finding career opportunities, and self discovery and more.
